ECONOMIC POTENTIALS, PHYTOCHEMICAL EVALUATION AND GENETIC CHARACTERIZATION OF NEGLECTED AND UNDERUTILIZED EAST AND WEST AFRICAN PLANT SPECIES

This is a two years on-going research project undertaken in the East and West regions of Africa (Tanzania, Uganda and Nigeria). It is a practical response to realization that several plants growing commonly in East and West Africa recognized as traditional foods and medicine are underutilized and poorly studied continued to instigate the search for natural, potent and affordable plant-derived therapies.
